This best-selling-book-turned-movie is another Cathy Garcia-Molina masterpiece. I was personally in awe after watching this movie and for me, Direk Cathy never seizes to amaze me. She's one of the best directors in our era. Every movie she makes, always end up as a top grosser. This year's top grossing movie tells the unique love story of Kenji Delos Reyes and Athena Dizon. They first met in school, the former being a gangster in the '90s and the latter as a nobody trying to live a normal life. Both end up falling in love after Kenji and Athena started in a fake relationship just to make the former's ex girlfriend jealous.
